She has the appearance of a 15-year-old girl, except for having a wolf and ears of a wolf. she introduce herself as the goddess of harvest that is worship by towns people and was responsible to watch over the harvest of wheat, but because the town has no longer in need of her and she believes the people have already forsaken her and that she has kept her promise to maintain the good harvests. she want to go back to his homeland to the north a town called Yoitsu and travel to see how the wold has change for the pass hundreds years of her spending in one place. she manage to convince Lawrence because of the deal to travel with her on their journey to the north . she use her wisdom and cunning skills to increase Lawrence profits. but due to her true identity as a wolf spirits she draws unwanted attention cause by Church.
from what i see this series is about loneliness, Romance, lies, trust and differences. As Lawrence travel he find himself a need of companion to talk to which is common to a traveling merchant, Holo also finds lonely for the past hundred of years that she stay in the town. Romance as they the two travel together they slowly start to fall for each other, and for merchant it's normal for them to tell lies in order to gain profits all merchant tell lies and due to that they find to trust each other for Lawrence know Holo secrets, and Holo know that Lawrence will protect her secrets. Holo can also tell lies because of her sharp ear basically all the one they can trust in this wold is each others. there is huge difference between the two for Lawrence to be a human and Holo a Wolf and as they continue traveling they the two of them start to accept each differences.
i really love this series i did enjoy reading it and still not finish reading it. currently on 4 volume. the simple romance and quite sexy scene the mischievousness of Holo is i find cute as she tease Lawrence of some of his inexperience and naivety. Lawrence also love to tease Holo for her greedy and ignorance of some things i find their relationship really cute and it's also filled with exciting adventures of the two as they travel in a world full of lies and betrayal, the whole series is nice to read.
