the setting is pretty similar to Infinite Stratos(IS) both protagonist enter an All girl school, having an ability that only girl should have and girls both flock the two of them, while IS is futuristic and sci-fi, STnBD set in Fantasy world like where spirits also dwells, but while they have similar settings, each has their own unique feature and i think STNBD shines more that IS in many ways, while the Orimura, ichika is not like that much by some readers , i'm one of them one of the reason is he's heavy blockhead Level, i like Kamito better his because of his occasional teasing of the heroines and he has more guts and more bad-ass that ichika in many ways, and he quite mysterious and dark past

the story development are quite good, quite fast pacing development but still leaving you hanging on some secrets and mysteries, i like all the heroines specially est XD and i find the dusk witch is really HOT, each one the heroin have interesting characteristic and remember they're all Pure girls and most of them are still Innocent and have no experience in dealing with man, making the way their  interact with Kamito and the way he tease them sometime is really funny and interesting. 

the action is are not bad and quite unique with some comedy mix on it, and the comedy is also one of the selling point along with the Ecchiness and Romance with only one man in a academy full of pure maidens is dream of every men, Seirie Tsukai No Blade Dance is light novel worth reading i really did enjoy reading it in fact i have read it's 2 volume twice already.
