the story centered around Akihisa Yoshii the "idiot" of the story a sophomore student of Fumizuki Academy, the school strictly divide the student according to their Academic score, a the start of the school the student is sorted by the result of their Entrance exam. the student will sorted into six class base on their grade they get in entrance exam, while Class is filled by the highest scoring student while the class F is where the lowest scoring student. this also reflect the condition of their classroom while Class A is filled with prestigious item such as Air conditioner, Personal Computed, Fancy seat and Free Snack, while the bottom Class F have very poor Facility tatami mats and coffee table.
the Academy is also famous for the technology that allowed their student call fort Summon Being
Shōkanjū , the being main purpose is for the Summon war where one class is allowed to challenge other class and will allowed the winner to switch classroom, war will finish if one class can beat the other class Representative summon being, this will give chance for the bottom class to declare war and steal the facilities of the higher class if they manage to win the war, the but if the bottom class lose the war their facilities will be downgrade as punishment and can't declare war for the next few months.
The summon being can only be summon if given authority by a teacher and their perspective stat the attack/hitpoints is base on their last test score also it's is base on field type, the field type is base on the teacher, if the teacher is a math then the field is math etc. therefore the summon being stat is base on the subject score on the last test taken by the student, there is also other teacher that can create any type of field or even the comprehensive field (gives the total score in all subject) if one summon being is beaten and it's hitpoints reached zero point they are disqualified to the war and force to attend the Notorious Supplementary Class given by the strict Iron man or Nishimura Sensei but as long as they are alive they can take replenishment test but still will reflect the last score an can rejoin the battle.
the story start in the entrance exam of the second year when Akihisa help Mizuki Himeji who suffer from a fever and can't finish her test. due to that she scored zero on entrance exam and was send to the class F together with our Idiot Akihisa, but because of her poor health the poor condition of class F is not appropriate for her, Akihisa ask his Bad Friend Yuji Sakamoto for advice of what going to do the two decided to declare war against Class F for Mizuki Himeji sake joining them together their friends Minami Shimada, Hideyoshi Kinoshita, Kouta Tsuchiya a.k.a Muttsurini(Silent Pervert) they band together to declare war against Class A to prove that studying is not All about Grades.
basically this series focus on school event and even the school may be fictional it has reflection the reality, some student and teacher mostly focus on grades and result they forgot the idea about enjoying the school life by making friends and enjoy school life with friends falling in love, rivalry and doing some random and stupid thing together with some friends. this series reminds us what school life is all about.
both anime and light novel series are really good, it's has a hilarious comedy and crazy setting that transcend what the common sense. it has romance , tones of Comedy and some action with crazy shenanigans, i really did enjoy reading light novel and watch the anime it's one of the most hilarious comedy it's certainly one of the best out there.
